Vintage 1960s NFL New England / Boston Patriots cast helmet bottle opener, modified - the opener hardware has been removed and the helmet remains. The helmet carries the original Pat Patriot decal, the colonial minuteman snapping a football, which the Patriots used from 1961 to 1992 and which dates this piece to the era. Cream shell with orange-red crest striping flanking a navy centre stripe, molded single-bar facemask, and a red base collar. The two slotted mounting screws are still in place inside the collar where the opener plate attached. Material: cast aluminium or alloy - non-magnetic, so not the cast iron variant Era: 1961-1992 by the Pat Patriot logo; styling reads 1960s-70s Team: New England / Boston Patriots Style: Single-bar facemask, red base collar Condition: Used, honest wear throughout. The opener hardware is missing - this is the helmet only, sold as a display piece or as a donor for restoring another example. The Pat Patriot decal is rubbed and worn through in places on one side. Paint chipping on the crown and general age grime. No cracks found in the shell or facemask. Photographed from all sides including the base interior so the missing hardware is clear.
