Data Deletion Policy

1. Overview

At Resale Group, we respect your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your data that we have collected through our application, including data obtained via Facebook Login.

2. What Data We Store

When you use our application, we may store the following data:

  • Your name and email address from your Facebook profile.
  • Your Facebook User ID.
  • Profile picture URL.
  • Any content or listings you have created within the application.
  • Transaction history and activity logs.
  • Communication history within the platform.

3. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data in any of the following ways:

Option 1: Email Request

Send an email to contact@resalegroup.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Please include your full name and the email address associated with your account.

Option 2: Facebook Settings

You can remove our app's access to your data by visiting your Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites > Resale Group > Remove. This will trigger a data deletion request on our end.

Option 3: In-App Request

Navigate to your account settings within the Resale Group application and select "Delete My Account and Data."

4. What Happens When You Request Deletion

Upon receiving a valid data deletion request, we will:

  • Verify your identity to ensure the request is legitimate.
  • Delete your personal information from our active databases within 30 days.
  • Remove your user profile and associated content from the platform.
  • Notify you via email once the deletion process is complete.

5. Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained even after a deletion request in the following cases:

  • Legal Obligations: Data required to be retained by law, regulation, or legal proceedings.
  • Fraud Prevention: Information necessary to prevent fraud or protect the safety of our users.
  • Anonymized Data: Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.
  • Backup Systems: Data in backup systems will be deleted in accordance with our regular backup rotation schedule (typically within 90 days).

6. Facebook Data Deletion Callback

In compliance with Facebook Platform Policy, we support a data deletion callback URL. When a user removes our app from their Facebook settings, Facebook sends us a deletion request, and we automatically process the deletion of all associated data.

7. Processing Time

We aim to process all data deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been successfully deleted. If there are any delays, we will notify you and provide an estimated completion date.
